Guidelines and Recommendations to “INDIVIDUALIZE” your iPaleo!

I named the challenge “iPaleo” with the “i” = individualized…  I am well aware that not one single food plan can work for everyone (e.g. how is the low-fat/ high-carb diets working??), nor do we all have the same amount of leisure time or funds for food.  So here are my recommendations to help you INDIVIDUALIZE your challenge.

   1. Go organic as best you can.  Organic fruit/veggies/meats (grass fed, free range).  I know grass fed meats are very expensive compared to hormone injected grain fed meats, so find a middle ground and make it  work for your situation.

   2. Eat as much veggies and meat as you want (just make sure youre eating both in good ratio to each other, not one and not the other…), so you SHOULD NEVER GO HUNGRY

   3. Fruit:  try to limit to only 1-2 servings a day.  for the challenge try to eliminate juice

   4. Dairy:  If you are like myself and also millions of others who knows dairy sends you straight to the bathroom or makes you nauseous, ELIMINATE ALL dairy (including whey)…  If you know you tolerate it well, then go ahead and keep dairy in your plan i would just recommend going organic whole milk.

   5. CARBS:  I would recommend getting all your carbs from veggies/fruits.  Then use yams/squash/corn after long workouts.  I recommend no grains/breads/pastas/sugar (the recipe for FOOD COMA)

   6. IF YOU HELLA WORKOUT:  then i would consider eating corn/brown rice a few times during the challenge, and add yams/squash and fruit after your workouts (to satisfy your high carb demand)

   7. Sweeteners:  try to limit as much as possible, just for the this challenge.  If youre a coffee drinker, use organic whole creme with cinnamon.  If you do use sugars go more towards raw organic honey/maple syrup.

   8. NO alcohol (my fault…)

   9. Vitamins/supplements:  I personally will continue taking my vitamins (ie. multivitamin, fish oil, vit. D3….

   10. In conclusion, “Do you”… if youre someone who’s lived off mcdonalds for years, eating brown rice would be a major change, so individualize the plan to your situation.

So lets get yall!!! Remember to PLAN your meals so your not left starving and ending up binging on junk food bc that was all that was available…
